Getting Started

KodaPress is an AI-powered WordPress plugin that replaces dozens of separate plugins with a single intelligent assistant. Instead of navigating complex settings panels, you manage your site through natural conversation.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin from the download page
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
  3. Upload the zip file and click Install Now
  4. Activate the plugin
  5. Navigate to KodaPress > Settings and enter your license key

First Steps

After activation, KodaPress runs an initial health audit of your site. This checks SEO, security, performance, and accessibility. You can view the results on the dashboard or ask the chat assistant for a summary.

Dashboard Overview

The KodaPress dashboard gives you a bird's-eye view of your site's health across four pillars:

  • SEO Score -- How well your site is optimized for search engines
  • Security Score -- Vulnerabilities, outdated software, and configuration issues
  • Performance Score -- Page speed, asset optimization, and caching
  • Accessibility Score -- WCAG compliance and usability for all users

Each score is calculated from dozens of individual checks. Click on any score to see the detailed audit with specific recommendations.

KodaPress understands natural language, but here are some common commands to get you started:

Site Management

  • Run a full site audit -- Checks SEO, security, performance, and accessibility

KodaPress AI Search replaces your default WordPress search with an intelligent, AI-powered search experience that actually understands what your visitors are looking for.

Setup

Navigate to KodaPress > Search to configure AI Search. Use the widget to add it to your theme, or use the shortcode [kodapress_search] on any page.

Site Audits

KodaPress can audit your site across multiple dimensions. Audits can be run from the dashboard, the chat, or scheduled to run automatically.

  • SEO Audit -- Meta tags, headings, schema markup, sitemap, robots.txt
  • Security Audit -- File permissions, login security, outdated software, headers
  • Performance Audit -- Page speed, asset size, caching, database optimization
  • Accessibility Audit -- WCAG checks, color contrast, ARIA labels, keyboard navigation

Each audit produces a score out of 100 with actionable recommendations. Many issues can be fixed automatically by asking the chat assistant.

Settings & Configuration

License Key

Your license key connects the plugin to the KodaPress platform. Find it on your account page. Enter it in KodaPress > Settings.

Approval Mode

By default, KodaPress asks for your approval before making changes to your site. You can configure this per action type:

  • Always Ask -- Requires approval for every action (recommended for production)
  • Smart Mode -- Auto-approves safe read-only actions, asks for writes
  • Auto Mode -- Approves everything automatically (use with caution)

Frequently Asked Questions

How many messages can I send per month?

The Free plan includes 50 messages per month. Pro includes 2,000, and Enterprise is unlimited. Usage resets on the first of each month.

Does KodaPress work with any WordPress theme?

Yes. KodaPress works with any properly coded WordPress theme. It operates within the WordPress admin and does not modify your front-end theme unless you specifically ask it to edit files.

What happens if I deactivate KodaPress?

All changes KodaPress made to your site (file edits, redirects, etc.) remain in place. You only lose the AI chat assistant, real-time agents, and AI Search functionality. Your site continues to work normally.

Is my data secure?

KodaPress uses encrypted connections for all API communication. We do not store your site content on our servers -- the AI processes it in real-time and discards it. Your license key and account data are stored securely with industry-standard encryption.

Can I use KodaPress on multiple sites?

Yes. The number of sites depends on your plan: Free allows 1 site, Pro allows 5, and Enterprise is unlimited. Connect additional sites from your account dashboard.

How do I get support?

Free plan users have access to community support and documentation. Pro and Enterprise users get priority email support. Visit the support page to submit a request.
